Set up scaling and rulers |

You can build a framework of grids, guides, and rulers to position and align text and objects precisely. |
1. | Do any of the following: |
| • | | To view or hide rulers, choose View > Rulers. |
|
| • | | To view or hide guides, choose View > Guides. |
|
| • | | To view or hide the grid, choose View > Grid. |
|
2. | To change the page measurement units, right-click (Windows) or Control-click (Mac OS) on the vertical or horizontal ruler, and choose the measurement system you want to use, such as points, picas, millimeters, centimeters, or inches. |
3. | To create a guide, position the pointer inside a horizontal or vertical ruler and then drag to the desired location on the document. |
